This is an original Wells Fargo check signed by Adolph Sutro, Dated July 25, 1892. Rare. The Comstock Mines brought in millions. He owned it and was the one who created the Sutro Tunnel that not only saved lives but made it possible for the mine to continue to be prospers. Later he became mayor of San Francisco in 1890s.
